This Privacy Policy explains what information Pumps & Pirouettes, LLC (“Pumps & Pirouettes,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website, our mobile app, or our studio, and how we use, share and protect it. By using our services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account and contact details: name, email address, mobile phone number, date of birth and mailing address.
- Emergency contact: name and phone number, which you confirm you have permission to share.
- Waiver and health information: your acceptance of our Client Liability Waiver, and any injury or health information you choose to share with us or an instructor.
- Purchase information: the passes, packs, memberships and programs you buy. Payment card details are entered with and processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Messages: what you send us by email, text, contact forms or social media.
Information collected automatically
- Booking and attendance: classes you reserve, attend, cancel or miss, and waitlist activity.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, and pages or screens viewed, collected through cookies and similar tools on our website and app.
Information from our previous booking system
When we moved to our current booking platform, we transferred existing customer account, purchase and attendance records so your history carries over.
Photos and video
We photograph and film classes, rehearsals, performances and events, as described in our Client Liability Waiver, including how to opt out.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, bookings, purchases and memberships.
- To process payments and recurring membership billing.
- To keep records of your signed waiver and to respond to injuries or emergencies.
- To send service messages by email and text, such as booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist updates and account notices.
- To send news and offers by email, or by text if you separately opt in.
- To run, secure and improve our studio, website and app.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and enforce our policies.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share your information
We share information only with service providers who help us run the studio, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Mariana Tek / Xplor, our booking, membership, app and email platform.
- Our payment processor, to process card payments.
- Twilio, which delivers our text messages through Mariana Tek.
- Other providers such as website hosting, email and analytics.
We may also share information when required by law, to protect the safety of our students, staff or others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
Text messaging: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your choices
- Texts: Reply STOP to any message to stop texts, or HELP for help. See the text messaging section of our Terms of Service.
- Marketing email: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send account and booking messages.
- Your account: View and update your details in the app or the My Account page. To request a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account, email info@pumpsnpirouettes.com. We may keep some records where the law requires or allows, such as signed waivers and payment records.
- Cookies: Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; some site features may not work without them.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above. We keep signed waivers, incident records and payment records for seven years after your last visit or purchase, to meet legal, tax and insurance obligations.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, and our providers use industry-standard security, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private.
Adults only
Our services are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and notify you of significant changes by email or in the app.
